Each of our APA-accredited clinical psychology programs is unique, as are their emphasis, specialization, and track offerings. Our clinical psychology program teaches graduate students the basic skills needed to work in the field of psychology. In 1998, the California School of Professional Psychology established the nation’s first Postdoctoral Master of Science in Clinical Psychopharmacology. Over 500 psychologists in 40 states have graduated from or are currently enrolled in our APA-approved program, which integrates medication and its management in the biopsychosocial treatment of mental disorders.
Whether you want to serve the youngest learners or guide secondary students, our California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CCTC)- approved Preliminary Single-Subject and Preliminary Multiple-Subject Teaching Credentials will prepare you to teach in today’s classrooms. The theory-to-practice embedded coursework for these programs is offered in an online format.
Alliant offers two Online School Counseling Programs. The master's degree program in school counseling prepares counseling professionals for critical and life-changing roles working with students and families in K-12 school settings. The school counseling Master's Degree Online Hybrid program provides greater flexibility for students that work full time.

The Institute for the Advancement of Forensic Behavioral Science, Public Safety, and Justice at the California School of Forensic Studies (CSFS) at Alliant is dedicated to providing law enforcement, security professionals, other first responders, and mental and allied health professionals with practical forensic education and training.
The Advanced Practice Certificates are eligible for Continuing Education credit through Alliant International University, which is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. The Institute is an official corporate sponsor of the International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Association (ILEETA).

Our History
Alliant International University gets its name from the merger of three legacy institutions: San Francisco Law School founded in 1909, United States International University (USIU) founded in 1927, and the California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP) founded in 1969.
In 2001, USIU and CSPP merged, forming Alliant with San Francisco Law School (SFLS) joining in 2010. From 1909 through today, one constant remains: We specialize in preparing students for careers of impact through our model of academic rigor paired with hands-on training.
